The Local Train is an Indian Hindi punk band from Delhi. Since its inception in Chandigarh in 2008, the band has gone on to gain major commercial success and has become a staple in cultural and music festivals throughout the world. The Local Train is well known for its emphatic lyrics-a mix of Urdu and Hindi-and its trademark lies in a raw, frank tone resonating with the youth.
The band is most well known for songs like “Aaoge Tum Kabhi” and “Choo Lo.” In 2015 it released its acclaimed debut album Aalas Ka Pedh, and in 2018 it released its second album Vaaqif. They claim to be heavily influenced by the likes of Nirvana, Aerosmith, U2, Lucky Ali, Porcupine Tree
